Class Opportunities

Pre-school, Kids, Teens, Adults
Classical Ballet*Tap*Jazz*Pointe*Hip-Hop*Lyrical*Voice*Drama

Pre-school-
These classes consist of short, simple, fun activities for young students with a
short attention span.  They will learn basic Tap & Classical Ballet technique.  This will develop
listening and motor skills, flexibility and rhythm.

Kids & Teens -
5 to 7 years old will study a combination of Jazz/Tap and Classical Ballet. 
One half hour of each.  Combination classes for kids 7-8 years old may be extended to 45 minutes
for each type of dance (1 1/2 hr. Total).  This will depend on the need and/or experience of these
 students.  We will help to decide. 
Children 9 years and older require 1-1 1/2 hr. classes in Ballet or
 Jazz.  Tap lessons will be either 45 minutes or 1 hour depending on the size of the class and the
 needs of the dancers.  Hip-hop is available to intermediate and advanced Jazz students only.
Jazz technique classes are a requirement for Hip-hop, these classes will follow a Jazz class.

*Lyrical classes are available to Ballet students ONLY.

Pointe -
This is available to students taking 1 1/2 hours (or more) of Ballet per week. 
It is not for beginners. 
(The teacher will determine when a student is ready to begin pointe work.)

Company Class -
This is an intensive program of all forms of dance offered at this school.
These dancers attend several classes per week to prepare for competitions in the spring.
 They also may be called upon for additional performances. 
These classes are by teacher
invitation and recommendation ONLY.

Adults -
No Experience Necessary!  Classes are available for all abilities in Tap, Jazz,
 Classical Ballet & Hip-hop.  They consist of basic warm-up, technique, combinations
 and a dance.

Triple-Threat Sessions -
 
Consisting of Drama, Voice, and Dance for Actors, students will begin to explore techniques that will allow them to be more confident on stage.  Classes will consist of group exercises, improvisation, music-based improvisation, scene work, "projection" and basic dance combinations and sequences.

Guest instructors may also be brought in during the
course of the season to offer students a different perspective.


Prices and Payment Information

Tuition is Due at the FIRST Class of Each Month.

Charges are assigned according to an average flat rate per hour that decreases
with each additional class taken per student or family member. 
Flat rate charges vary according to length of class, but, the multiple class discount is larger for longer classes. 

**Shoes and practice CD's are included with monthly tuition.**  
(up to 2 pairs per season)

1 Hour Classes: 
1st- $48.00,  2nd- $46.00,  3rd- $44.00,  4th- 42.00 etc.
($2.00 decrease as each class is added)

1 1/2 Hour Classes:  1st- $72.00,  2nd- $68.00,  3rd- $64.00,  4th- $60.00 etc.
($4.00 decrease as each class is added)

45 min Classes:  $36.00 per mo.

Semi-Private (2-3 students):  $13.00 per 1/2 hour.

Private Lessons: 
$18.00 per 1/2 hour.

*Private and Semi-Private Lessons are Not Subject to Multiple Class Discounts.

There will be no refunds for missed classes. 
We do however offer make-up lessons.


  Average Total Costume Cost$70.00


If  24-hour notice is received, a solo/duet class can be rescheduled
at the instructor's discretion. 
If the instructor is unable to schedule a make-up lesson,
tuition will be adjusted accordingly.

If there is no notice for a missed lesson, payment will be expected.

Notification of an illness or missed class would be greatly appreciated.

In the event that a student decides to discontinue classes,
notification must be given immediately.


Weather / Cancelled  Classes-

In the event of a cancelled class, due to the weather,
a telephone recording will provide  this information.
If a class is cancelled for any other reason,
each student will be notified in advance.

Dress Code:

Ballet: 
Leotard, tights, skirt (optional) and leather ballet slippers. 
This also applies to children's T&B combo.  Tan tap shoes are needed for Tap portion of combo class.

Tap/Jazz: 
Leotard, tights, leather jazz/tap shoes.  Jazz pants, knit shorts or skirts may be worn over leotard. 
Work-out separates are also acceptable.

Baggy shirts or pants, bare legs or midriffs are NOT ALLOWED! 
Hair must be pulled back and secured. 
No bulky jewelry or heavy perfume. 
Students who are not dressed properly for class may be asked not to participate.
